Private transport is positively advantageous, if not essential. Train stations operate in Sheringham, Kings Lynn and Norwich. Coast Hopper buses run between Hunstanton and Sheringham and, to a more limited extent, between Kings Lynn and Sheringham. Norfolk Green and Sanders buses operate between Fakenham and Wells.
By road, Wells can be reached from east or west along the A149, coastal road, or from the outskirts of Fakenham, via the B1105. Polka Road is part of the road running north-south (from the quay to the A149), on the eastern side of the town. Bexwell is situated on Polka Road, opposite the end of Station Road.
